The two brazilian My3id drivers, Hugo Luis and Márcio Campos did not have any trouble making this race spectacular at Laguna Seca with Skip Barber. This was the first round of the IVR Skip Barber Championship, the first official south-american iRacing championship with a live broadcast.
Campos confirmed his position as hot favourite during qualifying, grabbing pole with a time of 1.38.336. Hugo, after he adapted to the car, started second with 1.38.486, just -00.100 behind Campos.
The race started. Hugo tried to take the lead from Marcio early on but couldn't get through. In a 24 cars grid, the two drivers did not have trouble keeping the lead. The real fight was agaisnt the car: The Skip Barber is unable to run 36 laps with full tank, making all the drivers of the race wonder if the car would last long enough.
In the last five laps, as the car became unpredictable due to the low fuel, Hugo trailed by 2s to Marcio. However, they were able to finish the race, taking the Victory and second position for My3id. Following our drivers, Thiago Mendes took the 3rd place of the podium, 21 seconds behind.
