Short but sweet. That is the best way to describe the eTM season of My3id Gaming driver Nikifor Djakovic.
Competing in his first race at the Aston National circuit with an impressive 4th place, he narrowly defeated a queue of rivals to the finish. The slightest mistake could easily have made it an entirely different result.
Coming to the Kyoto Grand Prix circuit, Niki was not hopeful of a repeat of this result, or anything near it. In all of the practice sessions it seemed as if his rivals would have an advantage. This later turned out to be due to the vagueness of the chicane on this circuit, which can easily be cut for a substantial advantage. Whereas Niki had been practicing not cutting the chicane, his rivals had been looking for ways to cut it. Once the rules were specified it was declared that cutting was not allowed. This soon played to Niki\\\'s advantage as he suffered no damage during the race and saved time in the pits as a result, as well as on the track.
Crossing the line in an impressive 5th place, almost repeating the success of his first race, consistency has proved key for Niki this season. He ended the championship an impressive 10th place out of 26 drivers, having only competed in two races of the 8 that were contested.
There is no broadcast of the event this time, but take a look at the screenshot attached to this article to see Niki crossing the line in 5th.
