David Williams did a satisfying qualification session, which put him on 3rd. But his qualification was rendered null as the admin chose not to follow the standard starting procedures, and went ahead with the race. Williams was spectating at that time, meaning he ended up dead last on the grid.
Later in the race, after Williams had been winning several position and doing quit well, he had an incident with a driver and received some major suspension damage, which in a sense forced him to retire.
"There was a completely inexperienced driver on the server, who was lapped after 3 laps. He span in front of someone, took them out, who in turn took me out. This gave me massive suspension damage, and since I knew I had to finish 8th for points, I left".
Williams had to start from back of the field once again because of the retirement, but was this time around more fortunate until he got to taste the infamous collision-lag-physics cocktail, while the other drivers were completely unharmed.
Williams finished the race as 7th.
