It was finally that time - the biggest race of the season!
Our expectations never were too high. A couple of the drivers had hardware issues, while a third was known to have disconnection problems. We also recieved a penalty for chatting during the 2nd qualification round which put us from 3rd to 12th. That didn't boost morale either.
But things went against the odds as we didn't experience that many problems after all. Our race went pretty smooth and the drivers were doing good laps. We did have few worrying issues though when Janis had a disconnect. Nikifor was quick and joined the server fast - however he disconnected too just as he joined. This meant that Cyber Racing, who were on the position ahead of us, were harder to catch because of the increased gap.
We eventually settled down as we acknowledged that a 6th place finish would be close to impossible, unless Cyber Racing or any of the other leading teams would get severe problems - we were simply too far away.
Jack took over by the end of Sunday. He did 10 or so laps, and then experienced some odd kind of lag which was the cause to some major damage to our car. Later on he passed on the FZR to Patrick, who also had problems - perhaps because he took over a "buggy" car. The moment he took over, the car sort of spawned on the grid and he wasn't able to move it so he eventually hit shift+s and LFS was back to normal after that.
The remainder of the race was as most of it: smooth and eventless. It was none the less a great race and we were well organized during it.
