LX Only Cup, Round 7

Combo: Fern Bay Gold / LX4, 24 lap race

This round returned to Jamaica and put LX4 on Fern Bay Gold including a nice and at the same time challenging combination of fast bends and slow turns. The mandatory pit stop just added an extra portion of action.

Two My3id Gaming drivers attending this event once again, both aiming for another good result after the Aston endurance race. Everything started fine, however the light wind which was blowing at about 17km/h made the situation a bit trickier than anyone could have expected. Lap times where a lot slower than the world record with pole position being 9 tenths away from it. Both Makriyiannis and Williams didn't manage to make a fast enough lap which would give them the pole position, due to traffic or mistakes while trying to adapt to the new track conditions, with Makriyiannis even flipping his car on his final flying lap. However, troy from Fragmaster team made a very good and promising for the upcoming race appearance.

Not long after the qualifying session ended, the red light came up with Makriyiannis starting from 2nd place and Williams being 3rd. This time the wind was only 4km/h which made the race much easier than the qualifying. The red lights went green and the race started without any troubles. Makriyiannis was defending his position from his teammate at the early turns and then tried to attack troy without success. At lap 3, Williams put some pressure on Makriyiannis, causing him to do a mistake before the bridge and he had to slow down so as not to hit the barrier. Williams took advantage of that and got 2nd. Later on, Williams managed to catch up with troy, who had increased a bit with his lead and attempted an overtake at lap 10. troy defended his position well, although the fight between these two allowed Makriyiannis to catch up. Lap times where already faster than during the qualification. The three racers in front had already made a huge gap between them and 4th place. On 12th lap Williams clipped a bit of the barrier, losing some time and then his teammate was right behind him. He even made an attempt at the end of lap 14 but with no success. The gap between these two and the leader had been widened a bit more because of the fights. On lap 17 Makriyiannis decided to do his mandatory pit stop earlier than the other two drivers in front, hoping for some clear track after that. He came out at 3rd place again in front of Lococost from Elite Squad. Two laps later, both Williams and troy got in for their pit stop. Makriyiannis got between these two and took 2nd place with 4 laps to go and the battle for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place heating up once again. At the end the places remained the same for those remaining 4 laps. The final gap between 1st and 3rd place was 2 seconds, meaning that this was a close battle.

Williams stated that the changes he made to his setup before the race made his car feel weird, and that was the reason he couldn't win this race. Nevertheless, troy took 1st place, and by doing so also increasing his lead in the championship standings. Makriyiannis took 2nd place and Williams completed the podium on 3rd place.
