OLFSL - Race 3

This week drivers have been to South City with XFG car and right from the beggining Karolis showed the best pace, first by braking the WR and then taking the pole position with even faster time. Hugo on other hand showed great consistency and took 2nd on grid. Niki also showed nice pace and sattled for 3rd on the grid. Cupraman from GVR was the only driver outside My3id Gaming who drove 2:03.x lap and took 4th on the grid followed by Coulti and Luissi. Dave set his qualifying lap in last minutes and took only 8th behind Rudi with no much practice. BreadC who almost won last race qualified only 13th. Ally qualified as 52nd witch gave him pole position in pool 3.
On the race day it was very windy (wind speed: 38 km/h) and slightly overcast in South City.
Rudi, Dave and BreadC, who had poor qualifying, didn't show up on race day. They probably had their private reasons associated with their private lifes.
So, the start went well without any position changes in top 5. Noone made any bigger mistake and noone tried any crazy moves.
Niki had slightly the pace laps 4 and 5, which gave Karolis and Hugo a chance to make 3 sec gap to him. By the lap 5 Hugo started to put a lot of pressure on Karolis and it stayed all like that till lap 9, then he attacked for the first time and then again in lap 10 and in lap 12 and 13 but Karolis was able to defende. In mean time Niki was making some mistakes here and there while trying to push which almost gave Cupraman chance to pass him, but not quite. However he was able to close gap on 1.5 sec.
On lap 14 Hugo attacked on the outside of the last corner and Karolis outbraked himself which gave chance to Hugo to do a switchback and take the lead. Karolis already started to feel loose of top speed because of engine damage, which probably made him to brake too late to try to outbrake Hugo, because Hugo had almost the whole car in front of him by the end of the backstraight.
After few laps Niki noticed that Karolis has problems with his engine and he was able to put some great laps to close the gap when tires cooled off. At lap 20 Niki was right behind Karolis then Karolis decided to take his mandatary pitstop and Niki stayed out for another lap which showed as a good decidion for him and after he did his pitstop too, he was back right in front of Karolis. Karolis couldn't do anything on last lap, even he was right behind Niki.
While they were battleing Hugo made 7 sec gap and took his maidan victory. 2nd position for Niki is his best result of season so far and Karolis satled for 3rd taking record all round My3id Gaming podium.
Ally had calm race and he cruised to 1st place in pool 3.
We're moving to Jamaica to Fern Bay for next round of OLFSL. Drivers will drive LX4 on short and twisty Club reversed layout, possibly the thoughest combo of this season.
