First I gotta say this is one of the cars in LFS...
First I gotta say this is one of the cars in LFS which I don't like to drive. It possibly might be the car that I dislike the most.
So it's the first time I'm facing an event in this car and I was very happy with 3rd on the grid. I changed my approach to qualifying from the last round and to be honest, I have to say I was a bit surprised to achieve my maximum on qualifying.
This round was with low wind too, just like the last one, but wind effected this car much more then UFR, because it's a very light car. In my practice for the most of the time I had wind blowing right the opposite way from this one in the race and that caused some trouble to me in first laps.
You might notice how i clipped the grass out of the chicane and went in to fast into T4 (fast left hander) so Rudi had chance to attack me.
After watching tape again I concluded that in fact I didn't have to give any room to Rudi on chicane's 2nd apex, but at the time when I was in the car with going over 150 km/h thru there it felt logical to me to give him room even if not needed. I had no time to take a look to right and see if a gotta leave room, so I just did, because if I didn't he might have been much closer to me and I'd cause a crash.
After I lost two positions there I cought my rhytm, but I expected Dave to attack Rudi which he didn't do and I kinda got frustrated and started making mistakes. After some laps I got myself together and held the gap, which was just enough to pass Rudi after he made a terrible mistake in chicane.
So i took my first podium in OLFSL ever and this is also my first podium in international league since 30th August and IGTC with Team Inferno. So that makes it 9 months. I hope I'll get more of them this year and maybe to win a race too.Tags / Keywords:
