round we secured our 2nd place in championship To become champions we had to win the race and Team Sirius had to have DNF So this one was just for fun but turns out that Im the only one who likes to things nice and organized As always I got the set ready and drove first quali session Turns out that I had to do second one later too and missed spots in front of me by just fractions of second just like Reno did last racebr br Few days before the race is when I noticed something might be wrong with Karolis Niall was doing just enough practice and that was fine as its really not a hard track to learnbr Its race day and Karolis has still not done any laps We still thought its going to be ok as we never had any doubts in him But he let us down and we had no backup driver Then Hugo did as a favour and drove last two stints even he said hes not going to drive LFS for some time at all Thank you Hugo you really saved us DNF in last race of the season would have been just wrongbr br As the track surface aside curbs is really flat I went for a bit too stiff setup and noticed it wouldnt last 1 hours stints just a day before the race Tried some last minute ideas but it didnt work so we were forced to do an extra pit stop We of course had a slightly faster pace as result of carrying less fuel but still not enough to make up for this record long pit stopbr br I already said that this isnt really a thought track to get pace on so everyone was on pace and us with virtually two extra stops had no chance of winning in fact no chance of podium If it was some other track we probably would have been on podium but not here Here thats 6thbr br Aside from my sloppy start we virtually had no mistakes Niall and Hugo drove faultless I quickly recovered positions too So in total I might have lost only about 15 sec with providing this video show for youbr br However I had good fun and have no regrets of driving this or any of MoE races br br Now Im looking forward to some rest and new after south city race best start so far By the end of 1st stint Andy Carey who races for CoRe this race overtook me br br I didnt even try to defend as I saw on how much faster pace he is and its really easy to pass on this track However his teammates werent as fast as mine later so we made the gap up and other than that they had one big mistake in pits which cost them too much Team sirius 7th Race 2ndbr br This has been the only race this season that I wasnt starting driver of After what we could call my fiasco in last two races we decided to give the responsibility to Karolis But then again he was too careful that he lost as much time in battling as I did on Westhill with my two spinsbr br However here I am leaving from pits and once again I have to fight for position straight from pits what a luck eh It might look very aggressive but believe me I was careful as hell this time Pretty much using the gold rule hold your line Dennis won this little fight of ours I was following him for something like 10 laps and was just getting my attack ready when he lost connection to server After that I was lucky enough to see EER spin in front of me We overtook City Liga Endu car for 2nd soon enough after that thru pits too Then theres little fun part with Leo You can also see some close calls with GT1 carsbr br I am generally very annoyed how backmarkers have behaved this season They usually hold the race line as if theyre not in the way and it really takes some time to get in position to pass which of course costs a lot of time Heres an example how you basically dont loose any time and you let faster car thru Then Im showing my public apology to Conquest racing I must have been a bit tired there and misjudged the situation sorry guys That moment gave us some damage which was costing us few tenths per lapbr After that is a little clip with one of those overly aggressive backmakers so I was very aggressive in teaching him a lesson too I bet he shit his pants therebr br In my 3rd set of stints always doing double stints I ren into a nice fight for position Its very nice to watch from car behind but not so very much when youre loosing time because of it hehe I of course dont mind them not giving me room to pass as I probably wouldnt do anything different myself in that situation City Liga came out as a winner that lap but next lap I took corner a bit too fast and they were in front of me again and they were still battling this time Raptors wonbr br You might wonder how am I passing them for a lap and suddenly after that Im battling for position with same team Well after I finished with my stints our Chinese friend had slow pace because of lag issuas and Reno had his hardware issues Then we had nobody to jump in the car there you go a lap lost just like that and thanks to the whole luck of this world I couldnt fell asleep from all the energy drinks I had that I was ready to jump in from my bed in my pajamasbr I passed City Liga Endu car did my pit and had to pass them again different strategy but they made job easy on me by spinningbr br So we got back from 5th back to 2nd thanks to our pace and finished there Even without our little unlucky disconnect we still wouldnt be able to fight for victory as our setup was costing us 10 sec per stint We had 1 wing too much in front which would cause ugly oversteer in the end of stints and 10thbr br Heres how it looks like when everything is going downhillbr br The worst weekend we ever had started with the worst qualifying I usually am the one who starts practicing first so Im the best for first quali session Thats how we did if for r1 and r2 but as this is my slowest track we thought to give Karolis the first quali as well as second When he failed to post good time in first we kept our hopes high for second round but then he failed again and this really killed our moral Starting 10th on this track is a bad ideabr br As per usual Im the one whos starting the race but I was too edgy to pass everyone that I made a lot of mistakes in first laps and lost about half a minute on recovering from two unlucky spins BTW in 2nd spin I wasnt really able to see what you can see with this camera as driver is positioned more to the leftbr br Then I dont know what I was looking for on my keyboard but I accidentally pressed the key which downshifted a gear I reacted quickly and shifted it up but still damage to the engine was done and we could do nothing to fix it For all of those who didnt believe us when we were talking about that heres a proof This cost us about 02sec per lap for the rest of the race over 200 lapsbr br After that I managed to get my head together and calculate every pass to make it look easy Something I should have done right away but hey we all learn from mistakesbr br I think I finished my stint 7th to give the car over to Karolis He drove two stints and gained few more spots he also had one spin and gave the car to Leo Leo messed up his best ever chance to show what he can do with blocking massages twice and therefor earned two DT penalties But our pace was that good that we were still fighting for 3rd with engine damage and all of the spins and penalties We made a small mistake in calculating fuel for last stint and Leo failed to see that it wouldnt be enough so we stopped in middle of last lap We would have finished 5th but to make bad day even worse admins gave us a lap penalty for this shifts as LFS spectated us We of course didnt know this as it never happened to anyone so we didnt teleport to pits and finish the lapbr
